Last Friday I was invited as a special presenter at Stocklmeir Elementary School in Cupertino to explain my game CoderBunnyz at their Math Fest. I explained how I came up with the story of CoderBunnyz, what I am learning from my venture, some of the game tokens and the board. When I got there, I met this really nice girl. She gave me a stuffed animal which is their animal logo – a panda. It was really cute.
Once the presentation was over a lot of Kids came to my Game Table and asked me questions and played CoderBunnyz. It was a lot of fun. It was a fun evening with over 200+ people.
I’d like to share with you all what I have learned so far :
- Have Fun while doing new things
- Take Risk
- Listen to your parents
- The most important thing I told the students was “Don’t Give up!”.
Here are some of the pictures from the events –

My dad told me that this week (12/7-12/13) is Compute Science and Education week (CSE) and kids across the nation are encouraged to do an hour of code. Sounded so familiar to me because guess what, that’s exactly what I have been telling too. Why Coding? Well if you attended my workshop or visited my website most of you know, coding is becoming an important part of life. Its everywhere in your phone, microwave, TV, even satellite and more. It helps you solve problems in real life. It may help you get a job at Facebook or Google or alike when you group up. Exciting?
Get started young. Learn coding concepts with an “Hour of code with CoderBunnyz” board game. Join me this week at West Valley, San Jose for another free workshop.
Happy Coding! 🙂

As I get ready for my Palo Alto workshop this Saturday (Mark Zuckerberg I am coming to your town 🙂 ), let me blog a bit about my board game CoderBunnyz. A few of you must be still thinking how does CoderBunnyz board game help teach coding?
- CoderBunnyz teaches you coding concepts like sequencing, conditional, loops, functions, debugging branches and many more (some advanced concepts)
- Turns out that the same concepts are used in almost any programming language.
- So as you play different levels of CoderBunnyz (I have 10 levels of game and many variations) you will be able to learn other programming languages more easily.
Languages like Scratch Python Java and others, that uses the exact same concepts!!
